Transitive® and Novell Strengthen Alliance to Accelerate Enterprise Customer Datacenter Consolidation ProjectsInnovative QuickTransit® for Solaris™/SPARC®-to-Linux®/x86-64 Software Receives Novell Ready Logo Certification for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server LOS GATOS, CA, – June 20, 2007 – Transitive® Corporation, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of applications across multiple processor and operating system pairs, today announced an expansion of its partnership with Novell, including an upgrade of its relationship to a Silver level Novell Technology Partner and Novell Ready Logo certification of Transitive’s award-winning QuickTransit® for Solaris™/SPARC®-to-Linux®/x86-64 solution. Transitive's relationship with Novell will help enterprise IT managers accelerate datacenter consolidation projects that involve replacing legacy SPARC-based hardware with more cost-effective x86-based servers. Transitive’s QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/x86-64 software overcomes the biggest barrier to datacenter consolidation projects -- legacy application migration -- because it allows native Solaris/SPARC applications to run unmodified in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 from Novell on x86-based servers. “UNIX migration is one of the largest growth markets for Linux today,” said Roger Levy, senior vice president and general manager for Open Platform Solutions at Novell. “We are delighted to work with Transitive to help customers migrate from proprietary and expensive UNIX platforms to a flexible, low-cost and interoperable Linux solution.” “Transitive and Novell have made significant progress in addressing the consolidation challenges of our enterprise customers,” said Bob Wiederhold, CEO and president at Transitive. “There is a natural fit between our two companies, and we look forward to pursuing a broad range of business initiatives in partnership with Novell.” Working with Novell, Transitive created its QuickTransit Virtual Appliance - a pre-built virtual machine comprised of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 and QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/x86-64, resulting in a ready-to-run application migration solution. Transitive’s QuickTransit Products for Solaris/SPARC Migration The global drive for increased IT efficiency has led most large IT organizations to define a datacenter consolidation strategy that requires decommissioning of legacy hardware and the migration of workloads to standardized platforms. The award-winning QuickTransit product line makes such transitions faster and easier, and they focus on the most common migration paths being adopted by enterprise customers. QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to- Linux/x86-64, released in November 2006, has enjoyed considerable market success, with enterprise deployments worldwide. Transitive plans to continue extending the QuickTransit family with additional innovative products through 2007 and beyond, based on enterprise customer needs. Availability and Pricing

“ The advantages of the virtualization trend are many and varied, but many datacenters may be forced to launch multiple virtualization strategies or expensive porting projects to account for the multiple platforms they maintain. Cross-platform virtualization eliminates this obstacle, allowing datacenters to take a single, simple approach to virtualization that delivers the maximum benefits from initiatives related to server consolidation, disaster recovery, energy efficiency, and legacy migration. By enabling immediate software migration to chosen strategic server platforms, we believe that Transitive can help eliminate much of the difficulty and expense that companies face when upgrading hardware.”
