TRANSITIVE SELECTED AS EUROPEAN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES PRIZE NOMINEE

MANCHESTER, U.K., – January 30, 2007 – Transitive® Limited, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of software applications across multiple hardware platforms, announced today that has been selected as a European Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Prize Nominee.

The Prize is awarded to companies for new and imaginative products and services based on information and communications technologies, or "digital technologies." This covers the converging fields of computer, media and communications industries – considered to be among the driving forces in modern economies. The Prize is supported by the European Commission as part of its efforts to promote Europe's ICT industry and boost growth.

“We are delighted to be of service to the industry by providing software solutions that improve information and communication technologies, and we are grateful for this recognition by the European Commission for our efforts,” said Alasdair Rawsthorne, founder and CTO of Transitive. “Our outstanding team of engineers has worked hard to deliver software solutions that eliminate the hardware/software dependency, and our momentum can be measured by the increase in customer demand as well as by our recent industry awards and nominations.”

This year, the European ICT organization received its highest-ever number of submissions -- 450 applications from 30 countries, and from this group the panel of 16 judges selected a short list of 70 companies as nominees for this prestigious award, to be awarded in March. All of the Prize Nominees were announced on January 29,, 2007. From this group, 20 companies will be selected as Grand Prize Nominees on February 19, 2007, and 3 Grand Prize Winners will be announced at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany on March 16, 2007.
