Transitive® Expands Channel to Provide Mainstream QuickTransit® Application Migration Solutions to Government Data Centers

Zot Appointed Reseller of Virtualization Software

LOS GATOS, Calif., – November 1, 2006 – Transitive® Corporation, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of applications across multiple processor and operating system (OS) pairs, today announced the expansion of its channel partner program, naming Zot, Inc. as a specialist reseller of QuickTransit® products, focusing on government and defense markets. The announcement is timely, given the planned release this month of QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/x86-64, which enables fast and easy migration of applications from legacy Solaris/SPARC hardware to Linux, industry-standard platforms.  Enterprise customers – including government and defense organizations - that need to replace obsolete IT infrastructure with more powerful and cost-effective modern platforms while extending the useful life of key applications can use a QuickTransit solution to achieve data center applications migration and consolidation without the need for any source code or binary modifications.

“The appointment of Zot as a Transitive reseller partner allows us to better meet the considerable demand from government organizations seeking to use QuickTransit to improve data center efficiency,” said Steven Mih, vice president of worldwide sales for Transitive. “The Zot team will provide the type of industry expertise and high level of value-added services that we are seeking in all of our specialist reseller partners, and we look forward to solving the application migration challenges of many government and defense industry customers with Zot.”

“Transitive’s QuickTransit products for software migration dramatically improve the feasibility of application migration,” said Michael McNeil, president for Zot.   “As a value-added reseller, we can leverage the synergy of QuickTransit with popular offerings such as VMware and XenSource to enable our customers to immediately and easily move all of their legacy applications to new server platforms.”

Following the highly successful Beta Release program for QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/x86-64 (which is the first in a series of QuickTransit software products that enable widespread application migration from proprietary RISC-based legacy hardware to new open source, industry-standard platforms) the production release is expected to be available from Transitive reseller partners this month.
