Transitive President and CEO Bob Wiederhold Discusses Enterprise Software ROI at European Technology Roundtable Exhibition Panel
ETRE 2006, BARCELONA, Spain, – October 9, 2006 – Transitive® Corporation, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of applications across multiple processor and operating system (OS) pairs, today announced that its president and CEO, Bob Wiederhold, participated in the panel session entitled "The Future of Enterprise Software" at the European Technology Roundtable Exhibition (ETRE) in Barcelona, Spain. Hosted by David Kirkpatrick, senior editor of Fortune Magazine, the panel was held on Sunday evening, October 8, 2006, and it also featured Patrick Cogny, president and CEO of Genpact Europe; Pierre Haren, president and CEO of ILOG; Stephen Maysonave, president and CEO of Relativity Technologies; and Greg Gianforte, president and CEO of RightNow Technologies. The ETRE panel session discussed enterprise software trends and ever-increasing management demands to maximize data center ROI. With its innovative QuickTransit solutions, Transitive is a key enabler of widespread enterprise application migration from older legacy hardware to the more powerful and cost-efficient industry-standard platforms. Since key enterprise applications often outlive by many years the hardware platforms on which they run, rapid and easy transportability across platforms is essential. QuickTransit achieves this without the need for any source code or binary modifications. “By enabling immediate software migration to chosen strategic server platforms, we believe that Transitive can help eliminate much of the difficulty and expense that companies face when upgrading hardware.”
