Transitive™ Corporation Receives C3 Expo Best of Show 2006 Award for QuickTransit® Hardware Virtualization Product

Honor for Most Innovative Product Spotlights Solution for Migration from Solaris™/SPARC® to Linux®/x86 Server Platforms

Los Gatos, Calif., July 6, 2006 – Transitive ™ Corporation, the leading provider of software that enables transportability of applications across multiple processor and operating system (OS) pairs, today announced that at the C3 Expo in New York City last week it received the Best of Show 2006 Award for Most Innovative Product or Service for one of its new QuickTransit® hardware virtualization products that enables the migration of Solaris™/SPARC® workloads to other servers.
"I personally witnessed the early-demo (pre-release) version take Opera Browser 9 for SPARC and run it on a Xeon-based Linux system with no hesitation - from across the Atlantic,” said Tom Henderson, C3 Expo conference chairman. “This is black magic for extending the life of applications on new target platforms. It is real, it is seamless, and it is fast.”

“Transitive is honored to receive recognition for its technology innovation by the C3 Expo judges,” said Bob Wiederhold, President and CEO of Transitive. "That their evaluation has resulted in this award signals the potential of Transitive’s hardware virtualization technology to resolve a huge barrier to gaining the full promise of platform migration across the industry.”

The product evaluated by the C3 Expo judges is QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux®/Xeon®, which was introduced at C3 Expo on June 27th along with QuickTransit for Solaris/SPARC-to-Linux/Itanium®. The new products are the first in a series to support Transitive’s initiative to facilitate and accelerate the migration of Solaris/SPARC workloads to other servers.

The panel of independent judges who performed product evaluations and conferred the award included: Tom Henderson, managing director, ExtremeLabs, Inc.; Joel Shore, editor-in-chief, ReferenceGuide.com; and Cheryl Currid, president, Currid & Company.
