Microsoft Hyper-V

Transitive is a member of MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) and supports the deployment of QuickTransit in virtual machines running on Microsoft’s Hyper-V server virtualization solution, which is available with the Windows Server 2008 operating system. In order to operate, QuickTransit requires a suitable guest operating system (such as Novell SLES 10) to first be installed in the Hyper-V virtual machine. Once installed, QuickTransit will then allow many thousands of additional commercial, internally-developed and open source applications to be run on Windows Server 2008 platforms.

The combination of Windows Server 2008 and QuickTransit allows datacenter managers to consolidate multiple diverse workloads without incurring the expense and disruption of porting projects, while also providing cost-effective solutions for high availability, application scalability and disaster recovery.
